From the Shadows

One of my favorite things to do is take photos of my horse, particularly at sunset. On bright, summer days, I make a point to go to the barn just before the sun starts to go down and take as many photos as I can in as many places as possible. There are several trees, and if the sun is bright enough it causes a contrast I really love, if I can catch him walking underneath them, like I was able to in this photo. I didn’t make any changes or edits to this photo; I try not to edit my photos at all, if possible. I really enjoy challenging myself when it comes to my photography to get as perfect a photo I can with the settings on my camera. As a result of this, however, I usually end up taking over 200 photos in various settings each time I take my camera out. Depending on how long I’m going to be out, and where, I sometimes have to take an extra memory card for my camera, but I feel it’s worth it. I love learning and taking photos, so I don’t mind at all going through and finding my favorites and which photos turned out best under what settings.
